trashy books - read me not aka what is she thinking???

MaryJanice Davidson. Remember that name and stay the hell away from her books. The dialogue, though sometimes witty, is given to the most sniveling, annoying, unlikeable characters this side of PC romance novels. Just made it through the book Men at Work and I gotta tell ya, I almost didn't finish it. Janelle Denison was fine. Nina Bangs and the lovely MaryJanice however, sucked rocks. If you are going to be implausible (which, lets face it, most romances are anyway), at least make it fun. Neither achieved this. At all. And to add insult to injury, Ms. Davidson, with her horrible penchant for swearing and painfully one dimensional characters, can't write a steamy love scene to save her soul. Or even her book. Ugh.
