One of my favorite episodes of The Simpsons is when Homer wins a Grammy Award for barbershop. I was reminded of this episode while looking over a list of the 2007 Grammy winners. That, my friends, is a friggin' long list.
Who hasn't won a Grammy. Seriously. By the time you are breaking it in to itty bitty categories like "Tejano Album" and "Classical Crossover Album" (not to be confused with "Classical Contemporary Composition", mind you), everyone has about a 1 in 5 shot at getting one. My god, you can win a Grammy for "Album Notes" and if I am understanding that category right, there isn't even sound involved in that one...
Hillary Clinton has a Grammy. Shit, they gave one to IKE TURNER this year. For Best Traditional Blues Album ironically enough. Yup, Tina is getting loaded somewhere in Europe patting herself on the back for getting the hell out of the shitty music business in America cause here they give an award to anyone including wifebeaters. No tank top required.
