dammit jim, i'm a doctor not a writer...

Oh man. If you loathe romance novels, despise historical romances and just down right wanna burn romantic suspense, well then I can't imagine what you would do with the bizarre genre of sci-fi romance. As a true lover of romance novels and anything cheesy one would think I would just thrill to read one of these little "gems," but even for me they are a tad too much. Romance novels require a certain suspense of disbelief as do sci-fi books and taken together they just exude a certain corniness that few if any writers can overcome. Let's face it, sci-fi is meant to be a little dark and that just never gels well with the romance writers need for a happy ending.

If only you were in a sci-fi romance, not only would the blog work perfectly but Data would be anatomically correct, tireless and at your disposal...

Sci-romance really is the bastard child of literature.
