"These are WAAAAAAAY too big!"
That was last night's battle cry from the crib. Her Royal Highness, the 2 yr old, is a night owl and she does not like blankets because they make her all warm and sleepy. To counteract the 4am crying jag that comes from her getting cold in the middle of the night (see: lack of blankets for explanation), we decided to pajama the hell out of the girl. Cotton underneath, fleece on top.
To counter our counter, she decided the fleece on top was just plain too big and she couldn't, WOULDN'T wear them. Luckily, she can't get tops over her head yet so she was stuck there, but that didn't mean she couldn't use her lungs. And use them she did.
I am happy to report that all the crying and shouting coupled with the extra warm jammies did indeed tire her out and she fell asleep. She also didn't wake up cold. She did, however, wake up early having to pee.

Could she even move/get comfy with all the layers of clothes? Sounds uncomfortable.
Pffft. It was cotton and extra soft fleece. She did NOT look like the kid in the snow suit from A Christmas Story who couldn't bend his arms or legs...
